Trans-DCE

High-Purity Solvent for Industrial Cleaning Applications

Trans-DCE, also known as trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, is a high-purity chlorinated hydrocarbon solvent used in industrial cleaning, precision cleaning, component cleaning, and vapor degreasing applications. Its low boiling point and rapid evaporation characteristics support efficient cleaning and drying in controlled industrial processes.

Industrial Solvent Precision Cleaning Vapor Degreasing
Chemical Family Chlorinated Hydrocarbon
Boiling Point 48°C (118°F)
Flash Point 36°F (2°C)
CAS Number 156-60-5

Product Overview

Trans-DCE is a clear, colorless liquid containing more than 99 percent trans-1,2-dichloroethylene. Its low boiling point, high vapor pressure, and effective solvency make it suitable for selected industrial cleaning and degreasing processes.

Trans-DCE is highly flammable and must be handled using appropriate ventilation, ignition-control measures, protective equipment, and storage procedures. Always review the current Safety Data Sheet before handling or using this product.

Effective Solvency

Supports the removal of oils, greases, residues, and manufacturing contaminants from compatible industrial components.

Rapid Evaporation

Its relatively low boiling point supports fast evaporation and drying in properly controlled cleaning processes.

High Purity

The product contains more than 99 percent trans-1,2-dichloroethylene.

Industrial Versatility

Suitable for evaluation across selected precision cleaning, component cleaning, and vapor degreasing applications.

Typical Applications

Trans-DCE may be evaluated for cleaning processes that require effective contaminant removal and rapid solvent evaporation.

Vapor Degreasing

Removal of machining oils, greases, and production residues from compatible industrial components.

Precision Cleaning

Cleaning manufactured parts where controlled solvent performance and rapid drying are important.
